Why Baseball?
See Why Players Use Phiten
It started in Japan
Japan's obsession with baseball is perhaps only matched in the US, Cuba, and the Dominican republic. For years, Japanese baseball players have been using aqua-titanium infused necklaces and bracelets for pain and soreness, and it had become a fashion statement previously unknown in the US. (for those not into baseball, there are also Hello Kitty bracelets.) Japanese players reported better luck with the necklaces and bracelets, so it was only a matter of time before their secret was made known to players in the US. As a matter of fact, some watchers of the 2004 world series reported that the Red Sox players wore Phiten necklaces, which caused a sensation that is continuing to this day. One rumor claimed that the "curse of the Bambino" was broken with titanium, but the jury is out on that one until the Cubs beat their goat-related curse in the same fashion. Previously the necklaces were not available in Major League Baseball colors and logos, but this changed in 2007, so fans of all kinds started wearing Phiten Garb despite the lack of a million dollar contract.
Notes and Special Information
Special note: There is no substitute for skill and practice. As the players always say, "if I don't practice for one day, I know it. If I don't practice for 2 days, the guys know it, and if I don't practice for 3 days, then the world knows it." You should seek medical attention for any serious condition including pain, arthritis, and muscle aches. No necklace or bracelet is intended to diagnose, cure, or treat a disease, but if it makes you feel better then it's probably worth 30 bucks.
